Parking in Grossarl

Convenient & free parking

Whether for a hiking day, a trip into the valley, or the start of your mountain experience – in Großarltal you will find numerous free parking options as well as central underground garages and short-term parking zones.

Please observe the local signage and only park in designated areas.

Short-term parking zone

In the center of Großarl (municipal office, market square, Schulgasse and Dorfstraße), the short-term parking zone applies from Monday to Friday/Saturday from 08:00 – 18:00. A parking disc must be visibly displayed on the windshield of the car. The maximum parking duration is 30 – 90 minutes (please observe the sign).

Underground parking

Kieserlbahn underground parking (chargeable), Großarl elementary school underground parking (free, only outside school opening hours)

Hiking parking spaces

In Großarltal, you will find numerous hiking parking spaces that are ideal starting points for your hiking or mountain tour. All parking spaces can be used free of charge. Please only park in marked areas so that agricultural vehicles or emergency services are not obstructed.

If you have no cell phone reception, please ask other skiers for help or go to the nearest lift station. Stay with the injured person and reassure them until rescue services arrive.

Safety Measures

Safe on the slopes

For a carefree winter sports experience, Großarler Bergbahnen places the highest value on safety. Please observe the applicable rules for behavior, equipment, and distance – and enjoy your ski day with consideration for everyone.

No ski touring on slopes

Ski touring is prohibited on all ski slopes of Großarler Bergbahnen to ensure the safety of descending slope users.

Equipment

Always wear a ski helmet and regularly check your equipment for safety.

Safety distances

Please keep enough distance from other winter sports enthusiasts to avoid accidents.

Behavior on the slope

Ski in control and adjust your speed to the conditions.
